Good evening everyone,
I am truly honored and deeply grateful to be nominated as your representative. While I may not have years of experience as a community leader, I do bring with me 16 years of experience in management—and more importantly, a deep respect for every voice in the room.
I believe that real progress happens when we listen to each other, especially to those who challenge us. Sometimes, the most critical feedback can lead to the greatest growth, and I welcome that honesty with an open heart.
I’ve seen the strength of this community already—how you came together with joy and love to celebrate Adam’s wedding. That spirit is powerful. And now, I hope we can bring that same energy to something deeply important to all of us: the mosque project.
With recent changes in government funding, we’ll need to rely on ourselves more than ever. That’s why I’m proposing we launch a GoFundMe campaign. We’ll have a link available soon, along with flyers that everyone can share. If each of us spreads the word, I believe we can make this dream a reality.
As women, we have an incredible opportunity. We are caregivers, entrepreneurs, workers, and leaders. Our strength lies in our unity and in how far we’re willing to reach out to support one another.
My goal is to get to know each and every one of you. To me, you are not just neighbors—you are sisters, you are family. Together, I know we can achieve something beautiful.
Thank you for trusting me. I look forward to walking this path with all of you.
Fatoumata konate!
