When you use Zelle to make a donation, the information collected is tied to how Zelle operates as a payment service and how PANMA integrates it. Zelle itself is a bank-to-bank transfer system that doesn’t inherently support “donation pages” like platforms such as PayPal or GoFundMe do. So we are utilizing Zelle by typically using its direct peer-to-peer payments service. Here are the information that we collect when a donor uses Zelle to donate:
Donor’s Identity:
Full Name: The donor’s full name, as registered with their Zelle account.
Email Address or Phone Number: Whichever the donor uses as their Zelle identifier
Amount: The donation amount entered by the donor.
Date and Time: Automatically recorded when the payment is sent.
Memo/Note: Optional field where the donor can specify “Donation” or add a purpose (e.g., “For hurricane relief”). This is visible to the recipient.
The launch event featured student performances, speeches from community leaders, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony, symbolizing new opportunities ahead.
